CRRC TFW3554-4 Main Generator
The CRRC TFW3554-4 main generator is a high-performance main power component designed for 90-ton mining electric wheel dump trucks. It is part of CRRC’s serialized and modular mining electric wheel drive system. The model features a rated capacity of 620 kVA, running at a rated speed of 2100 rpm and a rated frequency of 70 Hz.As a core part of the electric wheel drive system for medium-size mining dump trucks, it works with the hub motor to form a complete power transmission chain that supports heavy-load operations in open-pit mines. The product has achieved import substitution and has been exported to markets including Chile and Australia. It has been widely applied in major mining areas such as Shenhua North China Mining Area and Shenhua Zhungeer Mining Area, and holds a market share of over 50 percent in the electric wheel dump truck drive motor sector.We offer comprehensive support for the motor, including customized matching for different tonnage dump trucks, on-site installation guidance, maintenance training, and spare parts supply, ensuring reliable operation in long-term heavy-load mining scenarios.
Advantages of CRRC TFW3554-4 Main Generator
Achieved through integrated optimization of electromagnetic and mechanical structures, solving the industry challenge of limited installation space and high torque requirements in mining hubs.
Features a special bearing structure, insulated end caps, and grease lubrication to prevent electrochemical corrosion, with non-contact labyrinth seals to eliminate oil leakage.
All components, including shafts, end caps, seals, and connectors, are made of low-temperature resistant materials, validated by rigorous simulation for stable performance in severe cold mining areas.
Ensures stable and reliable assembly with the vehicle through precision machining and full inspection of spline dimensions.
Utilizes specialized software to simulate and iterate motor designs, optimally matching the motor with the electronic control system based on boundary conditions.
Employs specialized winding and VPI insulation processes, with a unique rotor structure to withstand heavy-duty shocks, significantly extending motor lifespan.

Ansoft software was used to simulate and calculate the generator’s operating behavior with a rectifier load and the brushless excitation circuit, improving design accuracy.
The brushless exciter’s rotating rectifier module adopts a radial arrangement, enhancing its resistance to centrifugal force at high speeds, while also facilitating module replacement and improving mechanical reliability and maintainability.

Ansys CFD software was used to simulate and calculate the flow field and temperature field of the self-ventilated main generator, optimizing the ventilation and heat dissipation design.
